2026 Mid-year hull report

Cefor 2026 mid-year hull report with updates on the latest fleet and casualty trends.  

Highlights:

• 4th consecutive year with claims above USD 5 million
• 4th consecutive year with elevated claim costs but below peak years 2024/2025.
• Claims frequency continues to increase for claims in the USD 10,000-500,000 range but flattening out for claims > USD 500,000 at elevated level. 
• Ageing of fleet continues but reduction in portfolio share of youngest vessels <5 years halted and around 15% since 2022.
• Vessel values: overall average increase of +1.5% on 2026 renewals. Range by vessel types from -10.2% (car/RoRo) to +9.1% (tank).
