The Master of Arts in Marine
Insurance & Risk Management is
an experience-based qualification
designed for practitioners in the field of
marine insurance and other risk-related
sectors in the maritime industry. The
programme focuses on challenging topics in
the areas of marine insurance law, marine
insurance claims adjusting, economic risk
management and maritime technical risk
management.
This three-year, part-time Master of Arts
programme has been established at the
request of the Central Union of Marine
Underwriters (CEFOR) to cater for the steady
increase in demand in the shipping industry
for advanced education within marine
insurance. The master�s programme results
from interdisciplinary cooperation between
educational institutions in the Scandinavian
countries and carries
a tuition fee.
The participating educational
institutions are the University of Oslo, the
Norwegian University of Science and
Technology, the University of Gothenburg and
Copenhagen Business School.
The next Master of Arts in Marine Insurance and
Risk Management programme is scheduled to
start in the
spring term 2010. More information on the

course.
