Cefor Claims Forum has decided to discontinue the
Cefor List of Correspondents and remove it from the
website, the reason being that the List is superfluous
because all Cefor members have their own lists and the
links to the lists of Gard, Norwegian Hull Club, Swedish
Club and Nordisk are posted on the Cefor website. |

13.10.2009 EU Directive on sulphur content of marine fuels Directive 2005/33/EC as regards the sulphur content of marine fuels shall come into effect 1 January 2010. Without modifications, technical experts have warned that there is a safety risk when switching from heavy fuel oil to marine gas oil in existing boilers which may even lead to an explosion. Cefor has today joined the many industry stakeholders recommending an additional 12 months phase-in period beyond the due date to allow sufficient time for modifications and avoid unnecessary safety risks.
